engineers. Yet, noise and vibration are key design and performance
elements in many products which affect daily life. Since NVH crosses
over into many technical fields, it is somewhat difficult for
search engines and site indexers to adequately categorize the
many sites concerning NVH.
NVHmaterials.com was created to collate the many sites related
to noise, vibration, harshness and their respective treatments
into an easy to use format. If you know you have an interest or

NVHmaterials.com was founded by Chip Doyle and
Paul Sakion.
Chip Doyle began the project after he had served as the Sales
and Marketing Director of NVH Products at Raychem Corporation.
In the course of performing market research at Raychem, it became
obvious that many of the most useful sites on the internet were
either hard to find or buried in sites of various organizations
that performed many other functions in addition to NVH. This site
is designed to provide a "rifle-shot" approach for professionals
in acoustics searching the web.
Technical Consulting and Website Design is done by Paul Sakion
who has extensive experience in the Noise and Vibration community
as Western Regional Manager for Bruel and Kjaer. Both NVHmaterials.com
and the Sound & Vibration magazine websites are designed to
balance ease of use with exceptional content. This provides the
best value to the customer as well as a satisfying use experience
for the site visitor.
The sites have direct themes or information related to NVH, acoustics,
etc. The goal of NVHmaterials.com is to provide lists of sites
SPECIFICALLY related to the technical niche of NVH. While some
sites may have a potential use in NVH, we only list those sites
that address NVH. (example: Spring manufacturers provide products
that might be used for NVH problems. However, if the spring company
sells their springs for bedding mattresses or screen door assemblies,
we would not list them.) If in doubt, submit your suggestion anyway!
